This tree kind of just shaped itself on the page. It was drawn alongside Lochs Lomond and Leven in the Cypress Hills. I was with a group of students on a hike after a particularly rainy day. The evening cleared up a bit and I had a very nice time sitting and drawing. It was a silent hike, so students were encouraged to take some time for themselves and try some artwork inspired by their surroundings.
There are water droplets which fell from the spruce above me as I sat. I like that it became a piece of the image.
