Field Trips

Are you a teacher, home-schooling parent, club/camp leader, or mentor interested in taking your students outside? I offer curriculum-oriented experiential learning opportunities to suit whatever you are working on in class. Programs are made by request and tailored to the available green spaces near you (or to a space within your travel allowance). Topics range within the curriculum of science, social studies, art (including ELA), and phys-ed, but I am eager to go out of the box to suit your lesson plans where I can.

If you require consultation or extra staff for an outdoor school, please feel free to contact me. I have experience organizing weekend and week long OS itineraries and can help you achieve the goals you seek for your students.

I have a wide range of outdoor and environmental education experience, both in the field and behind the scenes. My most relevant formal experience was with Regina’s Public School Board as an outdoor environmental education technician. I have experience working with children and youth from Kindergarten to grade 12. I do not hold a teacher’s certificate.

For a full list of my relevant experience and accreditations, including qualified references, my resume is available upon request for serious inquiries. Please email: tumbleweednaturalist@gmail.com
